Cepcom -Uganda is promoting the art of reusing and recycling domestic waste products to slow down the depletion of natural resources, reduce landscape and habitat disruption to help to limit biodiversity loss.
The Executive Director Centre for Peace and Conflict Mitigation , CEPCOM -Uganda Stephen Kuteesa clarifies that besides promoting the preservation and regeneration of the environment through reduced waste, the initiative improves livelihoods through alternative household income generation and improved nutrition.
The Centre progressively empowers women and girls as the change agents since they easily identify with domestic waste and commonly have the oversight role of household feeding and general well being.

The initiative reconciles with the Centre’s environmental program operation theme; #myevironmentmyidentity
